Effective Date: May 15, 2026

Flying Tiger Athletics (“Flying Tiger Athletics,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, online registrations, and our SMS/text message program.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly when you register an athlete, create an account, contact us, or sign up for text messages. This may include:

  • Contact information: parent/guardian name, email address, mailing address, and mobile phone number.
  • Athlete information: the athlete’s name, age or date of birth, gender, grade or school, sport, position, and emergency contact details.
  • Health & safety information: allergies, medical conditions, or injury notes that you choose to provide so we can keep your athlete safe.
  • Payment information: billing details processed by our third-party payment processor (see Section 5).
  • Communications: messages you send us by email, web form, or text.
  • Automatically collected information: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, and similar usage data collected through cookies and analytics tools (see Section 6).
2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Register athletes and manage rosters, teams, camps, clinics, and training sessions.
  • Send schedule updates, cancellations, weather notices, and other operational alerts.
  • Process payments and send receipts.
  • Respond to questions and provide customer support.
  • Send marketing or promotional messages (only with your consent — see Section 3).
  • Keep athletes safe by sharing relevant medical or emergency contact information with coaches and staff.
  • Improve our website, programs, and services.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
3. SMS / Text Messaging Program

Quick summary: By providing your mobile number and opting in, you agree to receive text messages from Flying Tiger Athletics. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. We do not sell or share your mobile number or SMS opt-in information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3.1 How we use your phone number

When you provide your mobile phone number to Flying Tiger Athletics — for example, during registration, in a contact form, or by texting a keyword to our number — we may use it to send the following categories of text messages:

  • Practice & schedule alerts (operational): reminders about practices, games, tryouts, camp logistics, cancellations, weather delays, location changes, and other time-sensitive program updates.
  • Account & transactional messages: registration confirmations, payment receipts, waitlist notifications, and account-related messages.
  • Marketing & promotional messages (opt-in only): news about new programs, camps, clinics, tryouts, special events, and occasional promotions. You will only receive these if you separately opt in to marketing texts.
  • Two-way customer support: conversational replies to questions you send us by text.

3.2 Consent & opt-in

You must affirmatively opt in to receive text messages. Depending on the message type, opt-in may occur by:

  • Checking an SMS consent box during online registration or account creation.
  • Texting a keyword (such as JOIN) to our SMS number.
  • Submitting a signed program registration form that includes an SMS consent disclosure.

Your consent to receive text messages is not a condition of registering for any Flying Tiger Athletics program or purchasing any product or service. If you do not opt in, we will still be able to contact you about your account using other methods such as email or phone calls.

3.3 Message frequency, rates, and carrier disclosure

  • Message frequency varies based on your involvement with our programs and the message category. Operational alerts are sent only as needed; marketing messages are limited and infrequent.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan if you are unsure.
  • Carriers (including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

3.4 Opting out (STOP) and getting help (HELP)

  • You can cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message you receive from us. After you send STOP, we will send you a confirmation message and will not send you any additional messages unless you opt back in.
  • If you want more information, reply HELP at any time and we will respond with instructions on how to use our service and how to contact us.
  • You may also opt out by emailing us at the address in Section 11 and asking to be removed from our SMS list.

3.5 Sharing of mobile information

Flying Tiger Athletics will not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in status, or SMS consent information with any third party for that third party’s own marketing purposes. We share mobile information only with the service providers that help us operate our SMS program (for example, our SMS platform and carrier aggregators), and only as needed to deliver messages you have asked to receive or as required by law.

4. Children’s Privacy

Flying Tiger Athletics provides programs for youth athletes, so we routinely collect information about minors from their parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental consent.

  • Registration is completed by a parent or legal guardian, who consents to our collection and use of the athlete’s information for program operations.
  • We use information about minor athletes only for program-related purposes (rosters, safety, communication with the parent/guardian, etc.).
  • SMS messages about a minor athlete are sent to the parent/guardian’s phone number, not the minor’s.
  • Parents and guardians may review, update, or request deletion of their child’s information at any time by contacting us (see Section 11).
5. Payment Information

Payments for registrations, camps, merchandise, and other services are processed by a PCI-compliant third-party payment processor. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. The payment processor receives the payment details directly and provides us with limited transaction information (such as the last four digits of the card, the transaction amount, and a confirmation number).

6. Cookies & Analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate, secure, and improve the site. We may also use third-party analytics services (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, browser type, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and referring URLs.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies, but doing so may affect site functionality. If we use advertising or remarketing pixels (such as the Meta Pixel), we will disclose them here and provide opt-out options where required.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described in this policy, including:

  • Service providers who help us operate (registration platforms, SMS platforms, email providers, payment processors, hosting, analytics).
  • Coaches and program staff who need athlete information to run practices, games, and camps safely.
  • Leagues, tournaments, or affiliated organizations when registration in their event requires it, with your knowledge.
  • Legal and safety reasons — to comply with the law, respond to legal process, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Flying Tiger Athletics, our athletes, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to the protections described in this policy.

As noted in Section 3.5, mobile phone numbers and SMS consent information are never shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we collect. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please notify us promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

9. Your Rights & Choices
  • Access & correction: You may ask us to confirm what personal information we have about you or your athlete and to correct inaccuracies.
  • Deletion: You may ask us to delete your personal information, subject to recordkeeping obligations (for example, tax records or signed liability waivers).
  • Marketing email opt-out: Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • SMS opt-out: Reply STOP to any text message from us, as described in Section 3.4.
  • State privacy rights: Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws. Contact us using the information in Section 11 to exercise any applicable rights.
10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of the page. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice (for example, by email or a notice on our website). Your continued use of our website or services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
